Princess pamper party

Last month my two little girls were invited to a birthday party. It was a princess pamper party. They both looked forward to it because they had to dress up in a princess party dress. I am not really a fan of dress up parties. The reason for this is because it costs a lot of money to purchase dresses. And with kids they out grow their clothes so quickly that it isn't practical at all to spend alot on a party dress that they might only use once. Fortunately I didn't have to go out and buy the girls dresses because Mia, my eldest daughter, had a princess theme for her 5th birthday and her dress still fit a bit shorter than I would have liked but perfect to use for just a few hours. And my littlest wore one of her older sisters hand me downs. Just in case you wondering Mias' party was not a dress up. She was the only one using a princess dress.

Mia had a lot of fun at the party because she was the only 1 from my girls who took part in the pamper part. Megan who is 2 and half , is a bit shy around new people. The girls got a pedicure and had their nails painted in colours of their choice. And make up ( eye shadow and lipstick) put on. They also got a little washable hair colour spray on their hair. So all in all it was a fun experience for her, and she couldn't stop talking about it for a while.

With my girls growing up fast, birthday parties are becoming more difficult to plan. I really think that a pamper party is a good idea, maybe a bit costly as you have to pay per a child or in groups on 5,10 etc. But well worth the fun the children have. Luckily for me just getting a castle shaped jumping castle is still good enough.

Till next time
Sam
